Just down the road from my favourite haunt, St Pancras, is a nice grand old
victorian gothic pile, known as the Hotel Russell. Some of the interiors are
worth a quick viewing, but its the exterior on three of it's sides, decorated
with no expense spared, that are the showcase for this most marvellous of
places.
Theres a lot to look at, and it's really good fun. It's a shame that theres not more buildings like this, but on the other hand, the shambolic nearby structures of nearby buildings are a great backdrop for the Russell, and make it stand out even more. ![]() ![]() ![]() I've stood for hours looking at this building, so much that other tourists have looked up, wondering what I was looking at. Hotel Russell takes a long time to examine in great detail. I've taken a few snapshots of it in my time, some of which are included on this page: Charles (of London Town)
